Question

KB6524PS Drawer is broken and unit is dead.

We have had the this microwaves for maybe 2 years and the auto drawer slide stopped working. It will push it open, but will not close automatically. I believe the hardware that connects the draw slide to the door is disconnected / Broken. Hence why it will push it open, but can grab it to pull shut. Also, shortly after that, we pushed the start button and a few seconds in, it completely went dead. It did not trip any fuses, but has no indication of power getting to it. Is there an in-line fuse?

Question

Previously tripped breakers, drawer slide not functioning, now no function.

At my work we have one of these microwaves and maybe 2 years ago the auto drawer slide stopped working, since then it has tripped the circuit breaker in the electrical box maybe 4 times and now on the most recent time screen came back on after resetting the circuit-breaker but immediately stopped working on trying to press START again. Unit is now not functioning no matter which outlet and the outlet it was on has been verified as working fine. Electrical diagram depicts a main 20A fuse; would opening and replacing that get it to work again (doesn't really matter if drawer slide doesn't work) or dealing with some issue with the slide electronics that will ultimately keep causing the breaker to trip and the fuse to blow.

Thank you for your recent inquiry in regards to opening and closing the door of your KB6524PS. We are happy to help. To open the Microwave Drawer, pull the drawer handle a little so that the drawer will open automatically. To close the Microwave Drawer, push the drawer with light pressure so that the drawer will close automatically. In case the Microwave Drawer is stopped in the middle, open or close the drawer manually to full open or close position by gently pulling or pushing with even pressure near the middle of the drawer handle. If you wish to use key operation to open/close the Microwave Drawer, press the OPEN or CLOSE pad on the control panel to open or close the Microwave Drawer.

Question

Microwave does not heat food

My KB‑6524 drawer microwave does not heat the food. It turns on, and all the displays work. It sounds like it's running, but doesn't heat the food. I tried resetting it by turning off its circuit breaker and still nothing. If I jiggle the door when closed, it seems to work again. Maybe there is a loose connection.

Question

suddenly stopped working when opening the drawing.

pushed the 'open' button, drawer started moving, about 2 inches out, it stopped, and the whole machine died (no control panel message, no light). Checkout the plug, it was working. Even reset the plug. It's only 18 months old.
