Question

The Drawer will not stay closed.

When I press the "close" button it closes fully then opens back up just a bit. When I then close the drawer manually it will not heat.

I juts purchased mine and we are having the exact same issue. can someone tell me what the resolution was. our's is brand new and ironically, we are in Louisville as well.

Question

Power to the microwave

This morning microwave pad is blank. Turns on for a second when I pull the drawer out. Display says "ENJOY" so there is power. No other functions or display. Can you please tell me what I can do to correct the problem. Oven is 18 months old. KB-6525P

Question

What Amp Circuit Breaker is Required, etc.

We are about to purchase the KB-6524PS Drawer Microwave. Would this model require a 15 or 20 Amp circuit breaker (some sites list it as 110 volts while others list it as 120volts)? Also, the color on your site appears to have a "gold" tone - is this model actually stainless steel regarding its color? Thank you

Question

Why does the unit not work?

Used it last night and all was fine. This morning the screen is blank and nothing works. However, if I manually open the drawer the light is on. Therefore there is power. None of the other buttons do anything. It has been is use 27 months. Any ideas?

To turn Sleep Mode on, which will turn the backlight of the display off after 15 minutes if the unit is not in operation, please press the Setup/Custom Help pad 6 times. The display should now read SLEEP MODE ON?. Now please press the Start/Minute Plus pad and the display should now read SLEEP MODE ON.

Question

My cabinet manufacturer is saying that the maximum width opening is 22". Can i install the KB6524PS in this opening?

The 24" base cabinet manufacturer lists a 22" opening. The microwave width, per the Sharp specified unit dimensions seems to be less than 22". Can I install the KB6524PS in my 24" base cabinet? This seems to be a typical problem with all cabinet manufacturers.

Question

On occassion, the microwave shuts off and is totally dead for about 2 minutes, after about 1 minute of use.

It then turns back on and we have to reset the clock, etc as if it lost power. It sometimes does the same thing again, but other times it works for 2 or 3 weeks before doing it again. It is only 15 months old, please advise what could be causing this.

How do I remove the key pad.

In the center of the units key pad there is a viewing window that shows the cooking count down clock. Several bugs have gotten into this area and died and seeing their bodies in the window is very disturbing to my appetite. I want to remove the outer cover and vacuum them up. How do I remove the keypad so that I can do this?
