Question

The Drawer will not stay closed.

When I press the "close" button it closes fully then opens back up just a bit. When I then close the drawer manually it will not heat.

Same problem. Sharp customer service stated that I needed a repair person come to fix it. I was able to get it to work by adjusting the slide rails. There is a black plastic tab on the inner surface of both silver rails. I moved them up and down and the drawer now stays closed. Not sure why but it worked.

Question

The sharp microwave draw with the semi circular handle... can this be swapped out for a different handle, perhaps from another appliance or draw

Question

I have a KB6524PS microwave, serial # 152234. The magnetron has failed a second time.

The magnetron was replaced under warranty about a year ago. Based on the noise it is making now, the magnetron is bad again. Will Sharp take responsibility for this? It is very disappointing to have the same problem twice in an expensive appliance that is less than 4 years old.

How do I clean the inside glass on model KB-6524PS.

I can't get to the inside glass due to a metal shield full of little holes. This is how splatters end up on the inside glass.

Question

Microwave Drawer Not Closing All The Way

The soft touch open and close began clicking on open and close several months ago. That didn't bother me as much as the close not working properly. It started intermittent but is now constant. The drawer gets to the close then stutters (jumping in short open and close positions) until I push it closed. How can this function be fixed?

Question

KB6524PS Drawer is broken and unit is dead.

We have had the this microwaves for maybe 2 years and the auto drawer slide stopped working. It will push it open, but will not close automatically. I believe the hardware that connects the draw slide to the door is disconnected / Broken. Hence why it will push it open, but can grab it to pull shut. Also, shortly after that, we pushed the start button and a few seconds in, it completely went dead. It did not trip any fuses, but has no indication of power getting to it. Is there an in-line fuse?

Is there a common fix when microwave stops working?

Model KB6524PS - Serial 179670 - Feb 2013; There is no display, door will not open & buttons do not function. Completely shutdown. Power is at outlet. I have pulled the unit from the cabinets and hoping to fix.
