Black Hoizontal line at the bottom of Sharp LC60LE550U

Just like others who have posted on the site, my TV is also experiencing the black horizontal line at the bottom of the screen about 8 inches from the bottom.
I see on the website that the “canned/scripted” apology but nothing being mentioned on how to resolve except to email support. I think this is a way that the issue posted can be captured as “answered” for metrics by just telling people to email instead.


Doubtful it will help to email but here goes. I have no executions of resolution because it sounds like it is an internal board failure that no one knows what causes the issue or how to troubleshoot besides checking external cables, blah blah blah, but here goes…… since no other options are available.


I will wait for the reply and hope it comes WITHOUT an apology and the typical remove from power, check cables, etc.

How do I remove unused inputs from input menu

When I press the INPUT button on the remote, the INPUT SOURCE lists TV, HDMI1, HDMI2, HDMI3, and Computer. I do not have anything plugged into HDMI1 and HDMI3. How can I remove them from the INPUT SOURCE list? Changing HDMI Auto View to Disable has no effect.

Black line

I have a 60in Aquos that has a thin black line On the top half of the screen.

very upset that I've had this tv for less than two years and already the screen is failing. Is there anything Sharp is prepared to do to fix issues like this?

Question

My TV doesn't play the sound from certain netflix, and amazon prime movies.

I have the TV hooked up to my PS3 through the HDMI cable, and I run Netflix, Amazon, and video game discs on my TV. Some of the movies I play have sound, others the sound doesn't play. The sound does not play from BluRay discs.

I'm sorry you're having issues with your audio. I would recommend contacting PlayStation so that they can walk you through changing your audio output settings of the PS3. Question

I have a 60in Aquos that has a thin black line about middle of screen. Its about 10in long and we can not get it to go away.

It just appeared one day for no particular reason and has now been there for about two weeks. It is very disheartening when you think your buying a quality item and then with less then 50 hours of use I now have a nice black line to look at while watching TV.

Proble with the VGA input

Hi, I purchased this Sharp TV LC60-UQ17U, I connect via VGA an old computer/console system (like always do with others models of past years of Sharp), the picture is perfect but I can center the image, the bottom can't show complete, every time I try to enter the center option the interface doesn't work, I know that in the manual read that if the resolution frequency is not appropriate the image doesn't show, but the image display perfect, how can an image out of frequancy display perfect but can't center it, I think that the interface in some way is blocking me to enter in the center option of the VGA input, please help me with this.

This TV features both an analog and digital tuner. We would recommend using an outdoor antenna if at all possible for the strongest antenna signal strength. We also recommend logging on to antennaweb.org for information on how to get the strongest antenna signal strength in your area.

LC-60LE755U Television randomly shuts off (sometimes on)

I purchased an LC-60LE755U in December 2013. Within a year it started randomly turning itself off. Occasionally it would actually turn itself on (rather disturbing in the middle of the night). I filed a warranty service claim, and after several weeks of discussion Sharp found a service tech to replace the internals (main board & power supply?). Less than a year later it is doing the same thing again, and the factory warranty has expired. Yesterday it shut off 20 times during the football game. This morning I woke up and it was on, but turned itself off before I had finished making coffee. I have two older Sharp tv's that have run for 10 years without any trouble. I've always bought Sharp, but am now concerned about component quality. A web search reveals that this is not an isolated problem. I have an extended warranty through the retail merchant, but am quite concerned about when it expires.

What is wrong with my TV?

I have a sharp LC-60LE550U Tv. While watching the power will randomly shut off. Sometimes the power will switch itself back on automatically, sometimes the only way to get the TV to turn on is to go and unplug it and plug it back in. This is a reoccurring problem. Sometimes happening 30+ time in an hour. Sometimes twice an hour. What is the likely problem?

My son has a device called Esight it's a digital visual aid. The device allows you to hook up on a video out on a TV and it will directly project whatever's on the TV screen directly in front of his eyes. Is my LC 60 LE 550 you capable of doing this.

Question

I can not get sound system to work with tv using ARC so I can use sound system for tv apps

I have a Sharp LC60LE550U and a Sony STRKS2300 home theater. I want to plug my PS3 my cable box and my bluray player into the tv and have them to play sound through the sound system. I looked over the manual for the sony and it shows its possible! I swear when I first got these tv it kept trying to use the sound system (could not use it due to restrictions in my building on sound systems) Right now I have to have everything plugged into the sony but I need to manually change it to what ever I am using. I can not also use the sound system for the tv when I use netflix or hulu. I reset the sony to the right settings. The tv however I am at a loss. I changed the settings under system settings and aquos link setup. I put link control on and ARC to auto. HELP ME PLEASE!!!!
