Question

I can not get sound system to work with tv using ARC so I can use sound system for tv apps

I have a Sharp LC60LE550U and a Sony STRKS2300 home theater. I want to plug my PS3 my cable box and my bluray player into the tv and have them to play sound through the sound system. I looked over the manual for the sony and it shows its possible! I swear when I first got these tv it kept trying to use the sound system (could not use it due to restrictions in my building on sound systems) Right now I have to have everything plugged into the sony but I need to manually change it to what ever I am using. I can not also use the sound system for the tv when I use netflix or hulu. I reset the sony to the right settings. The tv however I am at a loss. I changed the settings under system settings and aquos link setup. I put link control on and ARC to auto. HELP ME PLEASE!!!!

Thank you for your inquiry regarding the Sharp AQUOS LC-60LE550U. This AQUOS model does not feature built-in wireless. Sharp does not manufacture such an adaptor. Third-party products may be available but Sharp cannot guarantee compatibility.

Question

View Mode resets after restart

I have an old 4:3 ratio cable box plugged into the Video (RCA) input. I like to use the Zoom View Mode, however each time I restart the TV, the View Mode is defaulted to S. Stretch. I therefore have to manually put it back to Zoom.

If I turn off the TV while using the HDMI or PC input, turn the TV back on and change the input to Video, the View Mode remains in Zoom and does default back to S. Stretch. So the problem only occurs when turning off the TV in Video input.

How do I get the TV to keep the same View Mode after restart?

Blueray player not working with TV

I have connected two different Blueray players to the TV and changed out the HDMI cable but neither work. One player (a samsung) will come on then shut off at different times. The other (a Sony) does not work at all? This TV has given us nothing but trouble since we purchased a year ago.

Thank you for your recent inquiry regarding the Sharp AQUOS LC-60LE600U. As this model AQUOS does not feature audio return channel (ARC) on the HDMI terminals your best bet would be to use the RCA-style Audio Out terminals. If the sound bar doesn't offer RCA-style Input terminals we would suggest an RCA-to-3.5mm auxiliary cable. Output Select will need to be set to Variable. Use of the Digital Audio Out terminal may be problematic with HDMI-connected devices due to copy protection. If this doesn't resolve the issue, or if there is anything else we may assist you with, please contact our Customer Assistance Center to speak with an AQUOS Advantage Advisor at 1-877-332-7867, Monday - Friday 7AM - 9PM CST and Saturday - Sunday 9AM - 7PM CST, so we can directly address your inquiry. Question

Why does my TV keep shutting off?

Recently my TV keeps shutting itself off and the remote is not responsive. I have to unplug the TV from the power source and plug it back in before it will do anything. I have the "no signal auto off feature" disabled. Today it did this 5 times within 30 minutes.

Thank you for your recent inquiry regarding the Sharp AQUOS LC60LE550U. We would recommend pressing the CC button near the top of your Sharp TV remote. Each time you press this it should cycle you through any available closed captions. The selection should be shown in the display box in the top right corner of your screen, for example CC1, CC2, etc. If you have an HD cable or satellite box connected to your Sharp TV then we would recommend speaking with your cable or satellite provider as you will need to control the closed captions through your cable or satellite box and not through the tv itself. If you need any further assitance please feel free to contact our Customer Assistance Center to speak with an AQUOS Advantage Advisor at 1-877-332-7867, Monday - Friday 7AM - 9PM CST and Saturday - Sunday 9AM - 7PM CST, so we can directly address your inquiry. Thank you for your recent inquiry regarding the Sharp AQUOS LC60LE831U. To set the TV’s options to receive audio from the 3.5mm Audio In terminal we will first want to confirm that the HDMI cable from your computer is in the TV’s HDMI 1 terminal and the 3.5mm stereo cable is connected to Audio In terminal. Second, please have the TV viewing HDMI 1. Next we will need to get to the Audio Select option. To do this please press the Menu button on the Sharp remote control and use the left directional arrow key to highlight System Options and press Enter. Then please use the down direction arrow key to highlight Input Terminal Setting and press Enter. Next please use the down directional arrow key again to highlight Audio Select and press Enter. Within this sub menu we will need to set the option to HDMI+Analog for the TV to process the audio signal.

If you have any additional questions please feel free to contact our Customer Assistance Center to speak with an AQUOS Advantage Advisor at 1-877-332-7867, Monday - Friday 7AM - 9PM CST and Saturday - Sunday 9AM - 7PM CST, so we can directly address your inquiry. We are happy to assist.

Thank you for your recent inquiry regarding the Sharp AQUOS LC-60LE550U. We would recommend connecting the two devices with an Auxiliary cable (RCA - to - 3.5mm headphone jack) running from the Audio Out terminals on the back of the AQUOS TV to a 3.5mm Audio In terminal on the sound bar. Additionally, you'll want to change the Output Select setting from Fixed to Variable. In order to change this setting please press the Menu button on your Sharp remote and use your left or right arrow buttons to select the Option Menu. Once there scroll down and select the Output Select option and then change that setting to variable.
