Blueray player not working with TV

I have connected two different Blueray players to the TV and changed out the HDMI cable but neither work. One player (a samsung) will come on then shut off at different times. The other (a Sony) does not work at all? This TV has given us nothing but trouble since we purchased a year ago.

I bought a sharp lc-60le550u, how can i change the settings so that it does not insert frames in between to artificially boost up the frame rate?

Question

Inputs are not responding

I have an Apple TV, Chromecast, and Blu-Ray player connected. When I attempt to change the input to another device, the Sharp Aquos 60 will not change the input unless I first unplug, then replug-in, the TV. Essentially, I have to reset it after each use.

Question

Whay dont you answer our questions?

I have a Sharp model LC60LE600U tv and just purchased a Vizeo sound bar. No matter what jack I use to hook up the SB to the TV it does not work, I can stream Bluetooth and it works if I connect directly to my cable box. And yes I did change to Variable!
What if I want to watch through aDVD player? I don't want to have to switch cable on devices.
How about an answer other then Call us! How about an answer here that will help others!
I have three 5 Sharp TV's and my next nay be another brand!

As this model AQUOS does not feature audio return channel (ARC) on the HDMI terminals your best bet would be to use the RCA-style Audio Out terminals. If the sound bar doesn't offer RCA-style Input terminals we would suggest an RCA-to-3.5mm auxiliary cable. Output Select will need to be set to Variable. Use of the Digital Audio Out terminal may be problematic with HDMI-connected devices due to copy protection. Question

Why does my TV keep shutting off?

Recently my TV keeps shutting itself off and the remote is not responsive. I have to unplug the TV from the power source and plug it back in before it will do anything. I have the "no signal auto off feature" disabled. Today it did this 5 times within 30 minutes.

Each time you press this it should cycle you through any available closed captions. The selection should be shown in the display box in the top right corner of your screen, for example CC1, CC2, etc. If you have an HD cable or satellite box connected to your Sharp TV then we would recommend speaking with your cable or satellite provider as you will need to control the closed captions through your cable or satellite box and not through the tv itself. Question

How do I turn on audio with an analog plug? Our manual says to go to Audio Select (under System Options - Input Terminal Setting) but it's not there!

To set the TV’s options to receive audio from the 3.5mm Audio In terminal we will first want to confirm that the HDMI cable from your computer is in the TV’s HDMI 1 terminal and the 3.5mm stereo cable is connected to Audio In terminal. Second, please have the TV viewing HDMI 1. Next we will need to get to the Audio Select option. To do this please press the Menu button on the Sharp remote control and use the left directional arrow key to highlight System Options and press Enter. Then please use the down direction arrow key to highlight Input Terminal Setting and press Enter. Next please use the down directional arrow key again to highlight Audio Select and press Enter. Within this sub menu we will need to set the option to HDMI+Analog for the TV to process the audio signal.

Audio Outputs, digital optical or rca?

I have a LC60LE550U tv, which I have HDMI inputs of a digital cable receiver, gaming console, and a dvd player, I also have a component input of a vcr. I've now bought a HT-SB60U sound bar...
Will the digital optical output from the tv inputted into the sound bar work for sound from all my components already inputted into the tv?
Or do I need to use a rca to 3.5mm cable from the tv to the soundbar?
(I've read plenty of contradictory information, so I'd like to know before I go buying cables.)

Don't bother contacting Sharp about any issues with any soundbar that is not a Sharp. They told me that they cannot guarantee any soundbar will work with this tv. I returned a Sony HTC260 because the optical connection does not work on the tv. I did the firmware upgrade and still nothing. The soundbar works fine on 3 other brand TV's but not this model Sharp. They refuse to believe it could be a firmware issue.

Does the HDMI ARC work on the LC60LE650U with a sound bar?

It appears the LC60LE550U model does not work with a sound bar using the Audio Out cable if you have HDMI inputs to the TV. My understanding is that this model will not let the "audio" pass through the tv and out the Audio Out cable to the sound bar.

I assume that since the LC60LE650U model has a HDMI ARC output then it will allow audio to pass through the TV and out the HDMI ARC output to the sound bar?

If so, this is a huge difference between the 550U and 650U models!

Not sure if you got an answer on this or not. I had the same issues with my 550U and when i called them they were no help. However, I was able to figure this out at least they helped me think out side the box a little more. I had purchased a Sony soundbar 660 with 3 HDMI's glad I did.
.
On the TV the HDMI 1 is the ARC (just not labeled as such not even in the manual#. Digital output does not work to sound bar. Once I plugged the HDMI 1 from the TV to the Sony HDMI #ARC# I still had no sound. So I tried plugging my DirectTV to the soundbar #HDMI in) and I had sound. So then I plugged the rest of my HDMI connectors from the TV to my soundbar and was able to get everything configured with one remote and have sound with each one.

Hope this helps out, the only way I could figure it out.

Can I connect my Sharp TV to my Samsung sound bar using a digital audio optical cable and get sound.
