Question

The microwave has power, will run but the light does not turn on and the food does not warm.

This happened a few days ago, we unplugged and replugged it and it was operational again. We tried that again this time without success. What could this be and how can we fix it?

Question

Per instruction when I select a power level (example 8.0) and then touch the time set pad to select the cooking time - it changes the power level

How can I select a cooking time after I have selected a power level? I have tried to select cooking time first - but it will not allow me to change the power level after cooking time has been selected.

Where is the timer?

On my old microwave I used to set the timer when baking, cooking on stove etc. I cannot find the timer on this microwave and can't believe that it would come without that option.

can download an electronic copy of the manual here: http://www.sharpusa.com/CustomerSupport/ProductDownloads.aspx. As far as programming the clock, the operation should be to touch the Clock pad once to choose 12 hour clock system or twice to choose 24 hour clock system. You can then enter the correct time of day by touching the Time Set pads in sequence and then touch the Clock pad again. The display should stop blinking and the colon between the hours and minutes should start blinking. If the display goes away at that point, there may be a problem with the unit and you should call us at 800-237-4277 for further assistance.

SETTING THE CLOCK is on page 11 of the manual.
When the oven is fi rst plugged in, the display will show “:0” and a tone will sound. If the AC power ever goes off,
the display show “ : 0” when the power comes back on.

1. Touch the CLOCK pad. This is a 12 hour clock system.
2. Touch the CLOCK pad once more. This is a 24 hour clock system.
3. Enter the correct time of day by touching the TIME SET pads in sequence.
4. Touch the CLOCK pad.

The display stops blinking, and the colon starts blinking. If you selected 12 hour clock system, this digital clock allows you to set from 1:00 to 12:59. If you selected 24 hour clock system, this digital clock allows you to set from 0:00 to 23:59.

Where is this made? where is it assembled?

I want to buy a microwave made in the USA. I understand that some Sharp models are made here but I cannot seem to find out which models they are. I also do not want to be surprised to find out that made in the USA can mean assembled somewhere else.
